24-Hour Emergency Assistance for People on Disability
24-Hour Emergency Assistance for People on Disability Waiver is an on-call counseling and problem solving and/or immediate response for assistance at a waiver recipient’s home due to a health or personal emergency.
Independent Living Skills (ILS) Training
Independent Living Skills (ILS) The job of an ILS staff is to help a person develop and maintain the skills necessary to participate and become integrated in the community he or she lives in, as well as live independently at home
In-Home Family Support
In-Home Family Support is a Developmental Disability (DD) waiver service offering training for people to live in their own home. Training is available also for family members to support community living.
Personal Care Assistant (PCA) and Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Choice
- A Personal Care Assistant (PCA) is a trained individual who provides services to people who need help with day-to-day activities to allow them to be more independent.
- Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Choice is an option of the MN Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Program that lets people hire and direct their own care. To participate in this option, the consumer, or the responsible party, must choose a PCA Choice provider as a fiscal intermediary.
Personal Support is a Developmental Disability (DD) waiver service for non-medical care, supervision and help. It is provided in the home of the person or in the community with the goal of increased independence.
Specialist Services – Promoting Staff/Caregiver Competency
Specialist Services covered by the Developmental Disability (DD) waiver are designed to promote staff and caregiver competency to benefit specific client needs.
Supported Living Services (SLS)
Supported Living Services (SLS) offer training for people on the Developmental Disability (DD) waiver to increase their ability to live in their own home. It is available to children out-of-home and adults in-home or out-of-home.
Waiver Behavioral Support
Waiver Behavioral Support services are individually designed strategies to increase positive behavior and decrease or eliminate severe, challenging behavior.
